...just got up and prepared food for the workday - which will start at six- because I couldn´t sleeep anymore.
Went to bed at 8 yesterday evening cause I was completely knackered.
Switching to nightshift was no problem, I actually kind of like the schedule if it doesn´t last too long, but switching back always seems to be. Not a big one, but a minor annoyance.
Don´t know how people do it who work shifts all the time, I guess my system would go bust.

shifting...
...back to daytime. Kind of sorry, got to read a book finally (during breaks) and work seems to be more effective during nicht without daytime´s interruptions and distractions. Another week would have been fine by me :). Anyway, election day today, so Im´m off to the polling station.

...
... Emmen, and tomorrow off to Bendorf, Schloss Sayn...
In Emmen´s "Vlindertuin" (Butterfly Garden) they show freeranging hummingbirds. Got really exited when my companion spotted one. Seen loads of them in central and south America but they´re pretty rare in european zoos, as they are so hard to breed.
Last time I saw one was in Walsrode´s special "hummingbird house".

Amazilia amazilia, Lessons Hummingbird, Rostbauchamazilie
They also showed the most amazing butterfly I´ve seen yet, no colors but one of the best examples of Mimesis, even complete with the holes in the "leaf":
And the caterpillar of Papilio memnon, wich looks a but like a snakehead. By now I like the caterpillars as much as the adult form, they come in many shapes, sizes and colors, too:
