Karate cavies!
Karate cavies! The descendants of wild Cavia aperea seemed to be much more agile than their domesticated conspecifics - they jumped fast, high and far when fighting.
For Sandra from Pixels Park , thanks to whom I shared my flat with guinea pigs for some time. They in turn taught me that cavy behavior is rather more interesting than one usually assumes.
The Cavia aperea enclosure in Apenheul. Apenheul is a dutch zoo close to Apeldoorn which focuses on primates, but you can also find a few other species there. Is it just me who almost always finds the wild form prettier than the domesticated one?
Trouble ahead ...
